Why Communication Feels Harder Than It Should
Most people don't struggle with communication because they don't care. You care. You try. But conversations still don't go the way you intended. You think about what you want to say, but in the moment, it comes out sharper, softer, or messier than you planned.
Later, you replay the conversation in your head: "Why did I say it like that? That’s not what I meant. I should’ve handled that better."
Sometimes you over-explain. Sometimes you shut down. Sometimes your emotions take over, even when you know better. And when this pattern keeps repeating, it costs you:

Most communication advice focuses on what to say. But when conversations get emotionally charged, your nervous system takes over, and your best intentions go out the window.

Full disclosure: I used to do all of these things. One of the biggest things I learned was that I wasn't a bad communicator...my body was just trying to keep me safe.
This is why knowing what you're supposed to do isn't enough. You can understand communication tools, value emotional intelligence, and even recognize your patterns, but only after the conversation ends.
